Shillong, July 18: The unofficial meeting of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma with his Assam counterpart Himanta Biswa Sarma to discuss border dispute was held on Saturday night in Guwahati.
An official source said on Sunday that the meeting was held at 10 pm at Taj Vivanta and it lasted for more than an hour.
According to the source, though both the chief ministers discussed the border issue, no date has been fixed for the official level meeting between both the chief ministers to discuss all aspects related to the border dispute.
The source added that other issues concerning both the states were also discussed.
Earlier on Friday, during the weekly news briefing, the chief minister had said the informal meeting on Saturday was to fix a date for the official level meeting.
