130 new cases in Manipur; CM assures on oxygen supply
Imphal, Apr 24 (UNI): In the past 24 hours, 127 persons from general population and three from the Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new COVID-I9 positive cases in Manipur.
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing were in place.
The total number of positive cases stands at 30,281.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh said on Saturday there is adequate stock of oxygen in the state. He was speaking during handing over of 15 basic life support ambulances to different CMOs in a function held at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
The ambulances were donated by National Highways Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd.
Singh informed that there is enough stock of medical oxygen in the state. He added that Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences, Imphal, currently has 100 COVID-19 beds while RIMS has 52 beds.
