Shillong, May 23: 24 more persons died of Covid in the last 24 hours and the number of new positive cases stood at 803 on Sunday.
While in East Khasi Hills, 19 patients died, in West Jaintia Hills, the number is 5.

There were 553 recoveries.
The total active cases are 7682 while the total recoveries are 1542. As many as 457 Covid patients died till date.
The East Khasi Hills tops the number of new cases with 484. The new cases in other districts are East Garo Hills (9), East Jaintia Hills (34), North Garo Hills (10), Ri Bhoi (27) South Garo Hills (19), South West Garo Hills (45),South West Khasi Hills (52), West Garo Hills (52), West Jaintia Hills (55) and West Khasi Hills (16).
