Shillong, Feb 8: As many as 375 nominations were found valid after the scrutiny of papers on Wednesday.
According to election officials, against 379 nominations filed , 375 nominations were found to be valid ,male candidates accounted for 339 and female 36.

Four nominations were found invalid – 3 male and 1 female. Three were in East Jaintia Hills and one was in West Jaintia Hills.
They were deemed as dummy candidates and 3 belonged to NPP and 1 to UDP, the officials added.
