377 trainee officers pass out from NEPA

Shillong, Nov 21: As many as 377 trainee officers in the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police and Sub Inspectors of Police, including 101 lady trainee officers, belonging to the States of Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura have passed out of North Eastern Police Academy on successful completion of 52nd batch of basic course. The 52nd Basic Course commenced the training from  November 15, 2022. The Dikshant Parade (Passing out Parade) was held at the Parade Ground of the Academy Campus at Umsaw Village, Ri-Bhoi District on Tuesday.. Chief Minister of Assam, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, reviewed the parade and commissioned these officers into active policing. Anurag Agarwal, Director, NEPA, administered oath to the trainee officers.

Gyanendra Pratap Singh, Director General of Police, Assam, Dr. Lajja Ram Bishnoi, Director General of Police, Meghalaya, Harmeet Singh, Special DGP (HQ), Assam, I Nongrang,  Director General Civil Defence and Home Guards, were among many very senior officers to  congratulate the trainee officers. A large number of high-ranking officials from Assam & Meghalaya, special invitees, relatives of trainee officers, trainees of PPCC Course from Meghalaya, interns of National Forensic Science University, Gujrat, officers and staff of NEPA have witnessed the spectacular parade displayed by the trainee officers.
