Shillong, Aug 6: Braving inclement weather, the hawkers from Laitumkhrah staged a protest for the third consecutive day on Thursday at Municipal Office to condemn the manner in which decisions were changed on relocation.
A statement in this regard said that despite having visited sites and suggested places where they were ready to move to which includes the Laitumkhrah market that the municipal has constructed and opened, fire brigade road stretch, health complex and others, the Municipal office changed decisions which are against the interest of hawkers.
