Ex-CBI official who was part of Rajiv case probe dies of Covid
Chennai, May 12 (UNI): Former CBI official K Ragothaman, who was part of the Special Investigation Team that probed former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination case, died at a private hospital after testing positive for coronavirus. He was 76.
Ragothaman, who retired as CBI Special Unit Superintendent of Police a few years back, was admitted in a private hospital after he tested positive for Covid-19 and was under treatment for the last few days.

However, he breathed his last on Wednesday morning, police said. Ragothaman had also written a few books on the high-profile assassination case and crime investigations.
His latest book titled ‘Rarest of rare case — Murder of an advocate’ was published recently, police added.
