Shillong, Sept 1: Several supporters of senior BJP leader J A Lyngdoh are unhappy over the state president Ernest Mawrie sidelining Lyngdoh.
They also alleged that the party is planning to allot ticket to Martamlin Pyrbot to contest from North Shillong.

According to the residents, Mawrie should step down for the sake of unity of the party .
They said in the 2018 polls, Lyngdoh had lost only with a thin magin of 400 votes.
They also wanted to know why Clarence Nongbet resigned from the post of general secretary of the party.
