BSF Meghalaya gets new inspector general

Shillong, Dec 24: The Border Security Force Meghalaya Frontier got its new Inspector General, Pradip Kumar, who took over the charge of the Frontier on Saturday.
Kumar succeeded Inspector General Inderjit Singh Rana who is now posted to BSF training centre Hazaribagh after successfully commanding BSF Frontier Meghalaya for 01 year and 06 months.
Kumar is a 2003 batch IPS from Tamil Nadu cadre and has remained as DIG Confidential/ Vigilance at Force Headquarters New Delhi before taking over the charge of BSF Frontier Meghalaya.
On taking over the charge of Frontier, Kumar emphasized on the cooperation and coordination among all the stakeholders for effective management of border with Bangladesh. Development and upliftment of border population would remain our prime concern he added.
