Shillong, Jan 6: The one-man judicial inquiry commission headed by Justice (retd) T Vaiphei probing the Mukroh incident has issued notice to Principal Chief Conservator of Forest (PCCF), Assam to provide a statement on the incident as he had failed to do so by December 29 last.
The commission had a hearing on Friday and went through the reports of Assam and Meghalaya DGPs on the incident.

The commission observed that the report of Deputy Inspector General of Police, Assam was not supported by an affidavit and hence he was ordered to submit it again on or before January 20.
The matter will come up for hearing again on January 20.
