Shillong, Jan 7: PDF member and cabinet minister Hamletson Dohling joined the NPP on Saturday in the presence of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma, Rajya Sabha member WR Kharlukhi, cabinet minister Sniawbhalang Dhar and other senior party leaders.
Dohling highlighted his initiative in anti-uranium mining campaign and introduction of ILP in the state.
The chief minister lauded the intiative of Dohling for the inclusion of Umlyngka, a census town under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
“The impact of his initiative helped in census towns like Mawlai, Mairang and others getting included in JJM”, he said.
Former PDF leaders Ivanlumlang Marbaniang and Emlang Lytan also joined the party.
NPP supporters gathered at Umlyngka ground for the joining ceremony of their local MLA.
Earlier on Friday, former MLA of Umsning constituency, Jason S.Mawlong and MDC, Donkupar Sumer had joined the party.

MDC KHADC joined the NPP and she was declared as candidate from Shella constituency.
