‘Power of Queen” in the game of chess
Shillong, March 11: Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture Shillong, Principal Farida Khan and teachers celebrated international women’s day with Meghalaya chess Association.
In a statement, Khan said, “Her power is amazing! She’s worth nine pawns; she’s majestic, extremely agile and has seemingly unlimited powers.
The queen is the most powerful piece in the game of chess. It can move any number of squares vertically, horizontally or diagonally , combining the powers of the rook and bishop, she said.
“Honestly, I believe I am queen but in the chess board I make blunder moves and in real life too. But I am still a queen; think like a queen. A queen is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness. Cheers to the all women!”
