Shillong, June5: Shillong MP Vincent Pala has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to appoint a new VC in NEHU.
Citing poor quality administration and leadership which resulted in University’s fall in the ranking since 2017, Pala said in his letter to Modi on Saturday that in the interest of thousands of students, the Centre should appoint a new VC at the earliest without any further delay.

He said the PM’s intervention was sought as the Union Education Minister is yet to take any action on his earlier letter.
