Shillong, Apr 24: Two KSU activists, Cleanstar Shabong (27) from Nongthymmai and Gary Mawlieh (25 ) from Mawlai who were arrested in connection with the Ichamati and Mawlai Mawroh cases respectively, on Tuesday were produced before the lower court here on Wednesday.
While the court granted 7 days for the police to further question Shabong, 12 days were granted to interrogate Gary.
Earlier, two KSU activists, Shamborlang Shati, Mawlong Sordarship, Sohra and Mesadapbor Skhembil, Sohra -both 26 years- were arrested in connection with the Ichamati case.
Insan Singh and Sujit Dutta were stoned to death on March 27 in Ichamati and Dalda respectively, while another labourer Arjun Ray was attacked on April 10 at Mawlai Mawroh. Later, he succumbed to his injuries.
Police sources said that there are ten cases against Shabong and three against Gary.
While one case against Shabong was chargesheeted, two cases against Gary were chargesheeted in the past.
