Shillong, Sept 17: A medical practitioner identified as Gracetyfull Marngar passed away on Monday after being affected by rabies.
Health Minister Ampareen Lyngdoh confirmed the death of the Mid Level Health Provider, on Tuesday.

Ampareen said the 32- year-old victim from West Khasi Hills was bitten by stray puppies two months ago.
She was under tetanus treatment but succumbed to rabies.
Marngar was the staff nurse of Tynghor Sub Centre in the district .
Her funeral will be held on September 18 at Catholic Church cemetery, Laitskeh at 1 pm.
