MFA revives Thadlaskein Sports Association
At the initiative of the local people, an ad hoc body was formed under the leadership of its Chairman and Convenor with the support of the 31 clubs affiliated to the TSA.
The GBM was conducted on Saturday at the Wahiajer Community Hall. A team from the MFA attended the meeting and the election process to elect the members was conducted under the supervision of MFA General Secretary Shri Sunesh Syiem.
“We at the MFA are very delighted that we could finally revive the Thadlaskein Sports Association after a very long gap,” Syiem said after the meeting. “The Thadlaskein area has always been an impressive place that has produced many talented players who have represented the state and the country.”
The MFA, whose new executive committee is only a year old, has thus been able to achieve another milestone by reviving the TSA, the second such association that it has brought back into the fold after the Ri-War Mihngi Football Association, which had not been functioning for a very long time.
In conclusion, Syiem wished the office bearers of both associations to dedicate themselves for the welfare of the players of their respective areas.
