Polo Hotels and Resorts ventures into hospitality in North Bengal

Shillong, Aug 31: Polo Hotels and Resorts, the largest hospitality group in Northeast India in terms of number of hotels, and Varun Tea Plantations Private Limited, the owner of Ellenbarrie Tea, are joining hands to launch the Polo Planters Lodge Resort in Doars in West Bengal.

This collaboration brings together Polo Hotels and Resorts’ flair for offering immersive, locally inspired guest experiences and Ellenbarrie’s heritage of tea craftsmanship, creating a destination that celebrates both indulgence and authenticity.

Spread over approximately 20 acres, the resort will be a villa-only property, including pool villas, featuring views of the surrounding “chai bagan”.

At the resort, guests will be able to engage in “Polo-curated Experiences” designed to be immersive, sensorial, and deeply rooted in the region.
