
Shillong, Sept 23: KHADC CEM Shemborlang Rynjah has resigned citing health reason.
In a letter addressed to the Chairman. Strongpillar Kharjana on Wednesday, Rynjah said, “I am writing to inform you that I am resigning from my position as the Chief Executive Member of the KHADC on this day the 24th September 2025. After careful consultation, I have come to the conclusion that due to my current health situation, it’s in the best interest for both my well-being and the office that I decided to resign. In turn, I would like to wish you all the best and success”

He is the first-time MDC from Langkyrdem-Laitkroh.
The VPP-led executive committee completed only seven months’ tenure after its formation in February this year.
Executive Member (EM) Powell Sohkhlet said that the election of the new CEM will be held soon.
Rynjah was elected as CEM unopposed on February 28 this year.
