Shillong, Sept 25: Police have identified the bike rider involved in the accident in Nongpoh on September 24.
The victim has been identified as 39-year-old Barista Mylliemngap, son of Brokeswell Pyngrope, a resident of Umsawkhwan,Ri-Bhoi district.

Ri Bhoi SP Vivekanand Singh Rathore said the rider came from the wrong direction and rammed into the front portion of the bus coming from Guwahati to Shillong.
According to the SP, the impact from the bike resulted in the bus catching fire.
