Shillong, Dec 8: The KHADC Court Bar Association has warned of action against fake advocates who are exploiting the poor and tarnishing the image of genuine advocates.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, Saphira Marbaniang, Secretary of the District Council Court Bar Association, also warned of action against persons who advertise in cyber cafes and common service centres regarding the preparation of affidavits, as it goes against the norms. The matter came to light after the signature of a magistrate was forged, leading to a meeting by the bar association members for necessary action.

The Executive Committee of the KHADC has filed an FIR against the accused.
