Shillong. Feb 8: Police arrested three persons and recovered one case of 63 detonators in Umpleng Bazar on Sunday.

Till now total 30 cases related to illegal mining of coal, transportation and coal dumps have been registered.
This is part of search and seizure process in the mines.
In Rangad area, other seized items include one carton box containing 10 packets of a total of 204 pieces of gelatin sticks,one large heap of coal measuring about 153.4 MT and one small heap of coal measuring about 22.3 MT.
