Shillong, March 2: Batskhem Myrboh is the choice of the VPP to contest the Shillong Lok Sabha seat following the passing away of Shillong MP Ricky Syngkon.
Myrboh is the spokesperson of the party.

In a statement issued on Monday, AW Rani, spokesperson of the party said, “The Election Committee of the Voice of the People Party (VPP) on March 2 submitted its recommendation to the State Executive Committee for approval, proposing the name of Dr. Batskhem Myrboh as the party’s candidate for the forthcoming Lok Sabha by-election from the Shillong Parliamentary Constituency, necessitated by the untimely demise of the sitting Member of Parliament, Dr. Ricky A. J. Syngkon, who passed away on 19th February 2026”.
