Khongsit was recently arrested for allegedly murdering the 7-year-old boy from Lum Marboh, Nongrah.

Khongsit, who has been in police custody since April 2, was admitted to Civil Hospital after he was produced before the court.

He will be questioned once he is out of the hospital, police said.

The woman identified as Eilang Phawa (39) of Lawjynriew, Nongthymmai, originally from West Jaiñtia Hills, went missing on March 20. A missing report was lodged on March 21.

According to the police, information was received from local residents that the gunny bag, found fully tied and suspected to contain a body, was located in Nongrah. Some maggots were also seen. The body was sent to NEIGRIHMS for a post-mortem.
