Sri Aurobindo Institute celebrates nationhood

Shillong. April 13: Sri Aurobindo Institute of Indian Culture Shillong celebrated an event to pay respect to the nation.
The programme began with hoisting of national flag followed by the performance of the band of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The programme focused on patriotism and the core theme was on nationhood.
According to Farida Khan, Principal Mother School, the Divine Mother urges Indians to transcend their ego and become worthy children of the Motherland, living with honesty, rectitude, and trust in divine grace.
The highlights below
A spiritual mission: India is destined to act as the Guru of the world, harmonizing global life with spiritual consciousness rather than mere material development.
Divine Intervention: The movement for freedom was viewed as a divine, selfless force rather than a merely political one.
The Future Vision: Sri Aurobindo called for unity, encouraging youth to become “standard-bearers of the new humanity” said Farida Khan Principal Mother School
These messages consistently encourage people to look beyond immediate material concerns, aiming at a higher spiritual destiny.
The programme ended with floral tributes and short mediation with SAIICS team members and CRPF 67 Battalion.
