Shillong, May 21:Retired justice T Vaiphei has resigned from the judicial inquiry commission on communal violence in Garo Hills due to health reasons.
An official source said on Thursday(May 21) that Vaiphei sent a message to Chief Minister Conrad Sangma explaining his inability to continue with the commission.

The inquiry involves multiple visits to Tura.
The commission was notified on May 4, but the secretary of the panel has not been appointed by the government.
