Shillong, May 23: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has expressed relief while welcoming Genal R. Marak who was rescued after a difficult and traumatic experience in Jammu & Kashmir.
“Meeting him at Guwahati Airport today was an emotional moment and a reminder that the safety and well-being of every citizen of Meghalaya will always remain our top priority”, Chief Minister Conrad Sangma said.
Through the swift action of the team following a distress call made to the 1971 CM Helpline (CM CONNECT), Genal is now safely returning home to reunite with his family.
“We remain committed to standing by our people, wherever they may be. The 1971 CM CONNECT helpline has become a vital lifeline of help, support, and timely intervention for every resident of our state. Kudos to team 1971 for their timely and decisive response!”, the CM said.
