Hearing on harassment to women cricketers inconclusive

Shillong, May 26:The hearing on the sexual harrassment allegations by the state women cricketers remained inconclusive as the former treasurer Dhrubajyoti Thakuria was out of station.
The four-member commission headed by Iamonlang Syiem heard the views of Meghalaya Cricket Association honorary secretary Raynold Kharkamni, former president Naba Bhattacharjee and manager Shining Star Lyngdoh, on Tuesday (May 26).
They were summoned as they allegedly failed to act on the complaints of the members of the under-23 cricket team.
Earlier, the commission took the statements of manager Sanjay Mandal and coach Hemant Roy.
“We have to hear one more person following which we would be able to conclude the hearing”, Syiem said.
When contacted, those who attended the hearing refused to divulge their submissions before the commission.
“We will wait for the report of the commission”, they said.
