Shillong, Sept 6: The Voice of People of Mawlai comprising 11 organisations on Monday evening organised a knife surrender rally.
The rally started from the area near Mawlai petrol pump and culminated at Mawlai Stand Bus.

First, the leaders of Voice of Mawlai People deposited the Khasi knives on the deck of a pick-up van followed by some residents who were standing on the roadside as the vehicle passed by.
