Border talks
Sangma made it clear that the Meghalaya government will not take any unilateral decision on Block I and II, and any forward movement will be only after consultation with stakeholders.

Asked whether the government will insist on physical verification of landmarks mentioned in the 1951 notification that had tagged Block I & II from Jowai to the then United Mikir and Cachar Hills district before talks begin, Sangma said both tracks will run together.

Finances stable
Sangma said Meghalaya’s finances are stable and sought to delink the state’s overall fiscal health from the temporary hold-up in Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) funds.
“The current financial condition situation is absolutely stable. There is absolutely no concern with the financial stability of the state,” Sangma said.
Water supply issues
The chief minister said that the issues related to water supply to various localities will be addressed.
He admitted that there are issues related to sources of water supply and retrofitting.
