Shillong, Oct 10 : Two former NDFB cadres and their associate were arrested by police on Sunday.
According to the police ,based on reliable source information, a team from South Garo Hills police apprehended three persons at Siju-Adura, South Garo Hills from a Maruti 800 vehicle.
They have been identified as Kamal Khaklary (35 ), surrendered cadre of NDFB, son of Late Rajkumar Khaklary, resident of Kushdhwa, PS Rongjulii district,Goalpara, Assam.
Another surrendered NDFB cadre, Jamejoy Basumatary alias Supru (34,) son of Late Kapil Basumatary, resident of Bandorsi, under Dudhnoi police station, Goalpara, Assam, was also arrested.
Their associate has been identified as Abhijeet Basumatary alias Nonga (23), son of Late Prodeep Basumatary, resident of Buglamary Dudhnoi, P.S, Goalpara, Assam.
Four factory made 7.65 mm pistols and 7 rounds of 7.65 mm ammunition (in picture) were seized from their possession.
