Shillong, Nov 25: Customs Inspector Alok Kumar, who was injured in the attack of protesters on Thursday in the city, is undergoing treatment at GNRC, Guwahati.
“He is not critical. Some internal injury.. and presently at GNRC, Guwahati. I have spoken with doctor and he will be released in 4-5 days after treatment. He is alright now”, DGP LR Bishnoi said.

Kumar, who was in Shillong for a training was attacked by masked youths at IGP point in the city. They snatched away his mobile and ear pod.
The incident took place during the candle light vigil organised by the pressure groups at Civil Hospital Junction in protest against Mukroh firing incident in which five Jaintia villagers were killed.
