ABDK convention in Resubelpara from Feb 5

The Achik Baptist Dalgipa Krima (ABDK) or all Garo Grand religious Baptist Convention will be held from February 5 to 8 at Moamari in Resubelpara, North Garo Hills District of Meghalaya, reports Philip Marwein from Resubelpara
According to the chief organiser of the religious event, Pastor Junitiar K. Marak, over 3 lakh faithful will attend the penultimate day of the convention, slated for Sunday (February 8). About 1100 delegates, including those from many parts of Assam, Nagaland and other areas of the North East, will participate in the 4-day event, apart from 345 churches from Garo Hills.
Pastor Marak told this writer that around Rs 40 to Rs 50 lakh is estimated to meet different logistical requirements.
However, he said the expenditure towards better connectivity, power, water supply, etc, is taken care of by the government departments. But members of the church, public representatives and well-wishers do contribute towards various items of expenditures which go a long way to lighten the burdens.
