
Shillong, Oct 21 (UNI): Additional Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Ravi Gandhi has reviewed the security situation along the 444-km stretch of the India-Bangladesh border that Meghalaya shares with the neighbouring country.
Gandhi reviewed the current security scenario and discussed various operational and administrative aspects of border management during his two-day visit to BSF Frontier Meghalaya from October 20, a BSF statement said on Monday.
Inspector General of BSF, Meghalaya Frontier, Harbax Singh Dhillon briefed Gandhi on the operational preparedness of the frontier. The latter interacted with villagers from border areas of the South West Garo Hills district at BOP-Bahadur, 50 Bn BSF.
The ADG also paid a visit to Meghalaya Chief Secretary, Donald Phillips Wahlang and Director General of Police, Meghalaya, Idashisha Nongrang.
