Shillong, March 25: The one-man coal committee headed by retired justice BP Katakey said on Tuesday that the aerial survey report revealed 1.92 lakh metric tons of excess coal than inventoried coal revealing illegal coal extraction.

The serial survey was within one km radius of the inventoried coal dumps in East Jaintia Hills, West Khasi Hills, South West Khasi Hills and South Garo Hills. .
Katakey said he will recommend action.
