After Assam, ED acts against fake investment website in Meghalaya

Shillong, Dec 13: After the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Guwahati Zonal Office attached assets worth Rs 29.25 crore belonging to fraud investment website www.pearlvine.com for duping customers, the focus shifted to Meghalaya where the Directorate of Enforcement (ED), Shillong Zonal Office on December 10 provisionally attached assets worth Rs.17.91 crore under the provisions of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 against the same website under the banner of “Pearlvine International”.

In the Shillong case, the attached assets of Rs. 17.91 crore are in the form of 13 immovable and 7 movable properties which include luxury cars acquired by the perpetrators.
