Shillong, Feb 21: Agatha K. Sangma was conferred the Distinguished Public Leadership Award – Governance & Inclusive National Development at the TOI National CSR Summit 2026, organised by the Times Foundation at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on Saturday.
The honour was formally presented by the Vice President CP Radhakrishnan. The award formed part of the Foundation’s Lifetime Achievement Honours segment, recognising leaders whose sustained contributions have shaped public life and strengthened national development.
The citation recognised Sangma’s public leadership and service and her role in “advancing rural development, national governance and inclusive representation from India’s Northeast”, said a media statement. It also acknowledged her early distinction as one of the youngest Union Ministers and her sustained contributions to public discourse and inclusive development.
