Shillong, Sept 6: The state government has approved the appointment of former Tura MP and sister of Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as the chairperson of state commission for protection of child rights, on Friday.
An official source said that the goverment also appointed a few other members of the commission.

When asked, commissioner and secretary, social welfare department Pravin Bakshi said, it was just approved by the cabinet on Friday and a notification will be issued shortly.
