Ampareen asks VPP supporters to leave rally venue
Shillong, Ap 8: NPP candidate for Shillong seat Ampareen Lyngdoh has asked the supporters of the VPP to leave her election campaign at Umsning, Ri Bhoi after they were raising slogans in favour of VPP.
She criticised the VPP for being a political party without principles.
The VPP supporters came to the election campaign of the NPP at Umsning and shouted Ha u Prah, Ha u Prah”, while Lyngdoh was addressing the gathering.
From the podium, Lyngdoh politely asked the VPP supporters to leave the venue to avoid any untoward incidents.
“You, the supporters of Prah, please go home. You have got your chance to hold a meeting in this place today afternoon. Please leave and go home to avoid any untoward incidents,” she said.
The VPP supporters tried to disrupt the NPP meeting by shouting the Prah slogans leading to a minor clash among the supporters of the two parties.
“You, who are supporters of a party without principles, please leave and do whatever you please with your Prah,” Lyngdoh said from the podium.
