Shillong, March 8: On the international women’s day on Wednesday, cabinet minister Ampareen Lyngdoh was empowered with portfolios of health, agriculture, information and public relations (IPR) and law.
Taking about her priorities, she stressed the need of addressing the issues involving infant and maternal mortality as far as the health department is concerned, Revamping MHIS scheme is another priority.

On the IPR front, she said the pending housingĀ and pension schemes for journalists will be followed up.
She will also look into the implementation of facilities for farmers.
Ampareen said she will have to familiarise with the law department.
