Around 60 Assamese students reach Delhi from Ukraine

Guwahati, Mar 3 (UNI): As many as 60 students from Assam have arrived in India from war hit Ukraine.

Twenty-two students reached Delhi on Thursday morning and were received by officials from Assam Bhawan.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed via twitter today that altogether 58 students of Assam have been evacuated from Ukraine by the Ministry of External Affairs. “Around 60 Assamese students reach home from Ukraine; More to come,” he tweeted.

The students will stay at Assam House in New Delhi until they return to their homes in Assam. The arrangements are being made by the state government to bring them back to Guwahati. Earlier, three students arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday and have been accommodated in the Assam Bhawan.
