Addressing journalists on Wednesday, Advisor of the ASHA Workers’ Union Sonny Kharjana, said, “We have decided to suspend work until the government pays the incentives to the ASHAs in the whole state”.

According to Kharjana, the union had given a deadline to the state government on December 19, 2025, to clear the dues, but the incentives are yet to be paid.

In some districts and some PHCs, CHCs, the ASHAs have not received incentives for the last 5-10 months. The ASHAs are getting only Rs150-Rs 200 as incentives”.

According to the National Health Mission (NHM), the delay in payment was due to the integration of the payment system from the ASHA App to a new platform called SNA SPARSH.

The NHM had conveyed to the workers that the new system is ready, and the payment issue will be addressed.

The state government pays honorarium, while the central government’s incentives are overdue, Kharjana said.
