Subroto Buattacharjee
Senior journalist Subroto Bhattacharjee who had professional connections in Meghalaya and elsewhere in the Norheast released his book on Meghalaya titled Surreal Symphony of Nature which is available on Amazon.
Subroto spent his childhood in the states of Assam and Meghalaya and has been a journalist in the Northeast region of India for about 45 years. An avid reader, fond of travelling and meeting people he was often taken aback by how little the rest of India knew about the Northeast of India. After his retirement as the Chief of Bureau, UNI( United News of India), Subroto, among other things, wrote scripts for the Doordarshan on places of tourist interest in Meghalaya and other Northeastern states. The idea of the present book germinated from a few of these scripts.
