Shillong, May 24: Prime Minister’s request for austerity measures or not, Meghalaya does not restrict foreign travel.
After the recent London visit of a 21-member delegation comprising Urban and Municipal Affairs department officials and Deputy commissioners from Shillong, Jowai and Tura for training , two more delegations have gone abroad.

While Chief Secretary Shakil Ahamed, Commissioner and Secretaries Vijay Kumar and CVD Diengdoh visited Argentina, a four-member team from the Information & Publication Relations department led by the Minister in-charge, Lahkmen Rymbui was at Cannes.
