Berth rotation unlikely in UDP, PDF & NPP

No discussion by parties on cabinet reshuffle: Conrad

Shillong, July 27: Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Tuesday said that there was no discussion with him regarding sharing of cabinet berths by UDP and PDF and ruled out any reshuffle within NPP.

After the swearing in ceremony of Sanbor Shullai on Tuesday, Conrad told reporters that as there was no discussion, he does not want to comment on the matter.

“I don’t want to comment on that. Apart from that any decision that the party makes is their internal matter and the party will have to take the decision,” he said.

The chief minister, while ruling out the possibility of reshuffling the cabinet berths among the NPP MLAs, said, “No there is nothing like that on the cards yet.”

Earlier, NPP minister Comingone Ymbon was dropped from the cabinet and in his place Dasakhiatbha Lamare was inducted.

The induction of UDP MLA Brodling Nongsiej was after the party president Metbah Lyngdoh was elevated as Speaker.
