Shillong, July 11: Bethany Hospital inaugurated its expanded wing of the dialysis unit on Thursday.
The unit features a capacity increase of 10 state-of-the-art machines. Haemodialysis is a critical treatment for patients with renal conditions and the expansion comes in response to the ever-increasing demand for the service.
“We are delighted to unveil our enhanced Dialysis Unit, equipped with advanced technology… This expansion reinforces our dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of our community,” said Dr Kyntiewlang Sanmiet, RMO in-charge of the Dialysis Unit.
Beneficiaries of the Megha Health Insurance Scheme (MHIS) can also avail of the benefits.
The hospital’s Intensive Care Unit is also equipped with haemodialysis machines to provide critical patients in the ICU with necessary haemodialysis treatments.
