Seattle, May 4 (UNI): Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his wife Melinda announced that they are getting divorced and are about to put an end to their 27 years of marriage.
The couple would continue to work together at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the world’s largest private charitable foundation.
In a statement on Twitter, the couple said they will continue their work at their foundation, “but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives”.
“We have raised three incredible children and built a foundation that works all over the world to enable all people to lead healthy, productive lives,” they said in the statement.
Bill is one of the world’s richest persons and his net worth is estimated at over $100 billion.
