
Shillong, Feb 15: The BJP will establish a Special Task Force under a retired Supreme Court Judge to investigate all cases of corruption.
This is part of the manifesto of the BJP released by the party national president JP Nadda here on Wednesday.
The special task force will also take swift and decisive action against any delay, defect or denial of government services.

Good governance
“We will implement the 7th Pay Commission in Meghalaya for all government employees.
lWe will hold regular legislative sessions in a mini-secretariat at Tura to ensure equal attention to all parts of the state.
We will collaborate with the Central Government to solve the Meghalaya-Assam border issue, and will establish permanent outposts to promote safety, security, and rule of law.
We will constitute a Task Force to check illegal mining in the state.
Additionally, we will ensure the scientific mining of coal.
Culture and tourism
We will expedite the establishment of a state-of-the-art Tribal Museum to showcase the rich tribal culture and heritage of the state.
We will establish the Tribal War Memorials honouring Pa Togan Nengminja, U. Tirot Sing Syiem and U Kiang Nangbah, who were brave freedom fighters from the Garo Hills, Khasi Hills and Jaintia Hills regions.
We will preserve and promote the indigenous religions of Meghalaya by constructing a Spiritual Roots historical-cultural complex.
We will introduce a Community Development Fund of Rs 10 lakh per annum for traditional systems of administration such as Dorbar Shnong, Nokmaship, Doloiship, and village committees.
We will expand the tourism economy of Meghalaya by investing Rs 1000 crore for the promotion of Meghalaya as a major national and international tourism destination.
We will introduce Meghalaya Tourism Skill Mission to provide training and employment opportunities to 1 lakh local youth.
Empower farmer
We will increase the annual financial assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme from the current Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 per annum.
lWe will provide financial assistance of Rs 3,000 per annum under the Chief Minister’s Landless Farmer Scheme to all landless farmers.
lWe will launch the Agri-Infrastructure Mission with an investment of Rs 500 crore to develop a holistic agri-infrastructure of collection and primary processing centres.
We will introduce a Cold Storage Mission to double the cold storage capacity in the state. Additionally, we will install 1 lakh zero-energy cooling chambers to prolong the selling cycle of farmers.
We will launch the Meghalaya White Revolution Project with a fund of Rs 250 crore to make Meghalaya self-reliant in milk products by 2026.
We will provide financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per annum to all fishermen under the Fishermen Income Support Scheme.
We will launch Meghalaya Sericulture Mission with an investment of Rs 500 crore to double the production of high-quality Mulberry, Eri and Muga silk rearing
Empower women
We will introduce the Ka Phan Nonglait scheme providing a bond of Rs 50,000 on the birth of a girl child.
We will provide free-of-cost, quality education to all female students from KG to PG.
We will provide free scooties to all meritorious college-going female students from financially weak households.
We will launch the Jugi Rani Jugi Silchi Support Scheme to provide financial assistance of Rs 24,000 annually to all dependent widows and single mothers.
We will provide 33% reservation for women in all Government jobs, with a special focus on the police force.
We will provide 2 free LPG cylinders to all the beneficiaries of the PM Ujjwala Yojana.
lWe will establish the Phan Nonglait Battalion, the state’s first all-women police battalion.
Empower youth
We will establish an empowered Meghalaya Combined Recruitment Commission to expedite filling of vacancies across various departments.
We will provide skill training and create 3.5 lakh self-employment opportunities by setting up two new SEZs, Industrial Units, one additional IT Park, banking and hospitality industries over the next 5 years.
lWe will introduce a Silverine Swer Academic Excellence Scheme to provide meritorious students of class 12th with a smartphone.
lWe will introduce Karnesh Marak Youth Support Scheme to provide monthly financial assistance of Rs 1,000 to unemployed graduates for a period of 1 year to help them prepare for higher education or government jobs.
Inclusive development
We will provide free rice, wheat and dal to all eligible PDS beneficiaries every month.
We will establish Koch, Hajong, and Rabha Development Boards to ensure holistic development of these communities.
We will establish Sanja Manda Sangma Canteens providing locally-made nutritious meals for only Rs 5 per plate.
lWe will double the pension for senior citizens to Rs 1,000 per month and ensure there are no delays in their disbursements.
We will ensure that the salaries of Government Employees are provided every month in the state, as opposed to the current quarterly salaries.
lWe will establish Tirot Sing Bhavans as urban shelters for unorganised workers with facilities like workmen night shelters, taxi parking, cafeterias and leisure spaces.
Health for all
We will double the per-family annual insurance cap from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 10 lakh under Ayushman Bharat.
We will initiate the Meghalaya Health Infrastructure Mission with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore for the development of medical colleges and other health infrastructure in the state.
We will fill all vacancies for doctors, nurses, lab technicians and paramedical staff on priority.
Economic and Industrial Development
We will set-up 2 new Export Oriented SEZs (Special Economic Zones), and one IT Park in Tura.
lWe will establish an MSME Development Centre with a budgetary outlay of Rs 100 crore, which will nurture entrepreneurs from ideation till the execution of their business plans.
Basic infrastructure
We will launch the Meghalaya Road Maintenance and Upgradation Programme to upgrade and modernise all major roads in the state over the next 5 years.
We will streamline traffic congestion through the construction of overpasses and bypasses across the state.
lWe will ensure 100% implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission and connect all households of Meghalaya to tap water by 2024.
We will ensure 100% implementation of the PM Awas Yojana Scheme and provide pucca houses to all the residents of Meghalaya.
We will constitute a high-level committee under the aegis of a Retired High Court Judge to check the corruption and inefficiencies in Meghalaya Energy Corporation Limited and ensure 24×7 electricity.
We will launch a SMART (State of Meghalaya Agri-business and Rural Transformation) Village Project with an investment of Rs 2,200 crore”(unedited version)
