Shillong, May 29: He continues to sing his glory for the last 55 years, but there has been no acknowledgement from the Nobel laureate Bob Dylan.
Dylan is 85 and and the his disciple Lou Majaw 79.
Come May 24, Majaw ritually celebrates the birthday of Dylan, who is yet to recognise the gesture.
To a question as to why Dylan, the answer is simple from Majaw. “His poetry and music influenced many generations, including him”.
But Majaw has no answer as to why Dylan has not acknowledged his continuous devotion to Dylan, but referred to Ranjan Palit’s film ‘Forever Young’ documenting Majaw’s life.
Lou celebrated the birthday of Dylan on May 23 and 24 in the city by holding three events to celebrate the latter’s poetry and music.
