Shillong, Feb 6: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) has recovered the body of the person suspected to be missing from Marten, Mawiong.
His identity is yet to be ascertained.

The relatives of the deceased and the police personnel were present during the recovery from the landfill site.
“At 4:45 pm today, the body of an unidentified person was located among the debris of garbage at Marten by SDRF, SMB, garbage collectors and others,” an official said.
He informed that the SDRF immediately called the police for necessary action.
The official added that the body was burnt.
“We can only confirm that a body has been found. However, we cannot confirm whose body it is. It is badly burnt,” the official said.
