BSF returns Bangla boy to BGB
Shillong, June 9: The BSF Meghalaya has returned a Bangladeshi boy , who was found in the border, to BGB.
The BSF, in a statement on Wednesday, said that on June 8, the force handed over the 12- year-old Bangladeshi teenager, Hasanur jamal Abhik to BGB as a goodwill gesture during a flag meeting held between the BSF & BGB at ICP Dawki.
The BSF said the Bangladeshi teenager was found roaming in Dawki area.
He entered Indian territory inadvertently on June 6.
Presentation of sweets to the Bangladeshi teenager made the moment unique.
The BSF spokesperson said that such acts of humanity help in reinforcing the bond of friendship between the two neighbouring countries.
“We as a security force, are always there to help the population on either side of border”, the BSF said.
